SCHOOL RESOURCES

Your MLIS program offers many resources to stay in contact with other students and teachers, as well as many ways to network as a student. Make the most of the program by signing up for school associations and making connections with classmates and attending as many school functions, like mixers and meet ups as possible!

If your school is utilizing a learning management system (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard, use the social aspects to foster relationships with your fellow librarians in training. Programs such as:

- Blackboard IM and Collaborate

- Discussion boards

- Group projects are all great ways to go     beyond the school aspect and make friends and connections!

Becoming familiar  with your school's website is a great way to find connections and resources for building your online communities. Webinars and online meetups are usually free for students to attend.
